Fly N Hy Kennels Flyball Stars

Doggy Drag Racing requires natural athleticism, prey drive, and an even temperament.  In an energy-packed room of dogs barking wildly during every race, and strange dogs lined up running next to each other, no aggression can be tolerated. Fly N Hy shorthairs pound the box with the best of them.

Pictured below is Hogan as he steadies on the flyball line.  This is as all the dogs are lining up, and just before the judge turns to his owner and asks her to nod an "OK, ready to race" back at him.  Note his owner's strangle hold & the look of resigned determination on his face.

Hogan

and here he is again, a fraction of a second later - after the nods have been exchanged & he thinks he doesn't have to wait any longer!

Hogan
Fly N Hy Hogan's Hero JH NA NAJ FM CGC TDI is ranked 27th flyball shorthair in the history of the sport in North America. (As of 04/30/03).  He is one of only 30 German Shorthaired Pointers to have ever earned the FM title. His team members say he has "a great work ethic" and are amused when this normally calm & rather serious dog goes nusto for flyball.  (Obviously they haven't seen him hunt, or they'd know what real desire is!)

Extremely toy motivated!

FM = Flyball Master.  A dog must earn and FD (Flyball Dog), an FDX (Flyball Dog Excellent), and an FDCH (Flyball Dog Champion) before he can proudly proclaim the letters FM behind his name.
